13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:13-14 NIV)
Knowing God does NOT mean having a full comprehension of everything He is doing based upon what He has done. If I feel that I have arrived at this point I am living a life of PRESUMPTION and NOT Faith! Yes, we as Christians do come to know Christ intimately since we are His bride! But, our knowledge is based primarily in the area of a spiritual consciousness which is formed by fellowship with Him, the study of His word, communication with and worship of Him in prayer; access to all of the other channels of grace He provides. Through these, I come to KNOW more deeply about His ways based in His divine character. And in that knowing I have a real sensitivity to things which are NOT aligned with His character as well; things such as false teachings, selfish desires, improper motivations, etc. (and these can be both issues that I may personally wrestle with) or that He may reveal in others.
